MARCUS JOYNER / MARCJOY

A STUDIO BUILT
AFTER HOURS.

Marcus Joyner is a writer, visual storyteller, AI creative practitioner, musician, and Technical Support Specialist II at Seattle Public Schools. The day job keeps public education technology moving. Evenings and weekends open the doors to Kemetopolis, Blaq Timbre, Scattered Thrones, and whatever signal showed up during the commute.

Marc Joy Media was founded in 2020 in Rainier Valley. Its work moves between personal mythology, community memory, Black history, speculative systems, humor, education, and emerging creative technology.

The mission is direct: build Black futures in public. Show the scaffolding. Keep ownership close. Leave enough residue for people to see that a human touched the work.

01 / FIND THE SIGNALStart with the memory, contradiction, joke, or unfinished question that refuses to leave.

02 / BUILD THE SYSTEMGive the idea rules, history, material texture, ownership, and something worth pushing against.

03 / MAKE IT PUBLICRelease the work with enough scaffolding visible that other people can enter the conversation.
